Anastasia was born in Alice Springs on 7 August 1987 and has always lived at Harts Range Community, which is known in Arrente as Atitjere, on the Plenty Highway north-east of Alice Springs.

Anastasia often paints with her grandmother, the artist Josie Petrick Kemarre and her other grandmother is the renowned Gloria Petyarre (who is her other grandmother’s sister but Anastasia also called Gloria, grandmother).

Anastasia began painting in 2006 and, following Gloria, paints bush tucker leaves blowing in the wind.
